Macassar is my hometown. I born and grew up at there. There are so many things that I am rightfully proud from Macassar. Local food and tourism spot are two of them.

My favorite food from Macassar is Coto Makassar, Sop Saudara, Sop Konro, Pisang Epe, Pisang Ijo.. If you go to Macassar and don’t taste them, you will be very sorry.

There are many tourism spot at Macassar, such as: Bantimurung, Rotterdam Fortress, Sombo Opu Fortress, Bira Beach, Malino, Kayangan Island, Samalona Island, Akkarena, etc. Bantimurung, Malino and Samalona Island are my favorite tourism spot. Bantimurung have beautiful scenery. At there you can see many butterflies, a small waterfall, and many caves. We can swim in a small stream that flow from the waterfall. At Malino, there is some tea estate. You can make a nice cup of tea by yourself from leaves to be in a cup. Samalona Island is the most popular sea tourism spot for scuba diving. The island is still authentic, with white sand and many coral reefs.

Macassar is a beautiful city. At the west you can see mountains. It is very beautiful scenery when the sun rises. You can enjoy the sun sets at the east by standing at the port. It is a good spot to spend your holiday. You will be pleased by it.
