padang panjang, my home town

I was born and grown up in the padang panjang. Padang panjang is the small city in west sumatera. Padang panjang located in the mountain, so the temperature in padang panjang is cold. Moreover, padang panjang is called rainy city because of the high frequency of rain.

We can find some nice tourism object. For example, lembah anai waterfall. It is famous waterfall in west sumatera. We can also visit minangkabau village, minangkabau cultures information center. We can find all about minangkabau culture. Moreover, we can see minangkabau famous trditional house Rumah Gadang and traditional rice barn called rangkiang.

I love my hometown because the people is very friendly. The people still keep traditional culture in this case minangkabau.

The Process of Purifying Water (Sewage Disposal)

After the polluted water enters the sewer, it will go through a simple process until it is changed into purified water, which then, can enter the river without endangering the environment. This process has no human intervention in it, and the whole cycle will be done by a mechanism that is made specifically for this.

First of all, after the ‘contaminated water’ enters the main sewer, it will flow into the settling tank, where the solids, which can’t decay, are separated from the water. These solids are then burned in a separate place. Then, the polluted water, which is now solid-free, goes into the pump house, where it will be pumped into the sprinkler beds. The sprinkle beds are where the purification will take place. The dirty water will be filtered through a bed made of stones and micro-organisms. After that, the water that has been purified goes into a pipe where it will be brought to the river.

Household Water Distribution

Hot and cold water are distributed into a house in few simple steps. First, the cold water from the mains is transported into the cold water tank, where it will be transferred into the hot water tank. In the hot water tank, the cold water is heated up so that it becomes hot water. Then both, the cold water from the mains and the hot water from the hot water tank, are distributed to each house appliance where water is used, like the bath, the wash basin and the sink. Cold water from the mains is also distributed to the toilet.
