Bogor, the city of green or the city of green?

During the old times, Bogor was famous because of the greenish color when Bogor was viewed from the heights. The most famous attractive place in Bogor until now, the Botanical Garden, with the trees and grass inside the area, created the beautiful and fresh green color that increases the romantic and cool aura of the city.

Nowadays, Bogor is still a green city. Anyway, what’s the meaning of this green city after all? A green city still has it characteristics from a greenish color. But, in this case, it’s a pity that Bogor has it greenish color from the public transportation, or angkot (angkutan kota), cars or minibuses (angkot in Bogor are all minibuses) used for public services which are coincidently painted green. In Bogor, these cars invade the streets everyday. And the worse fact is that these cars were the traffic jam makers because there are too many of these cars in the streets.

When the traffic jam happens, the people will see and realize that Bogor is still a green city if they look from the heights. And maybe people who view it will be quite disappointed since knowing that the green color was caused from the green cars operating in public, not from the trees and grass.

I’m proud by the fact that Bogor is known as a green city, but I also feel ashamed when I knew that the green color is unnatural. These two facts make a harmonized irony for me, as one of the students at ITB who comes from Bogor.

Bandung, Home Sweet Home

Who haven't heard about Bandung? I bet every people in Indonesia have heard about Bandung. Bandung is the capital city of West Java. The weather is very cool and the environment is very clean. The citizen, whose many of them are sundanesse, are very nice and kind. At here, people welcome you very much. (Your topic sentence is not clear.)

Lately, Bandung is known as " city of shop ". Many factory outlets mushrooming almost on every main road such as Dago Street and Setiabudi Street. So don't be surprised if you go to Bandung on weekend, the city will be look very crowded because many people from other city such as Jakarta and Bogor come abroad to Bandung to go shopping, buying things such as clothes, pants and jewellery. People like shopping here because the price is cheap. (Your topic sentence is not clear.)

Besides the factory outlets, Bandung also have malls like Bandung Super Mall, Paris Van Java, CiWalk and many more. Even the size of Bandung's mall are not as big as other city's mall, Bandung's malls are a very cozzy place. It's not too big like Pondok Indah Mall at Jakarta but also not too small. Bandung is a very perfect place to hang around with friends. And the most important thing is i always feel safe in Bandung like there is no bad people. No lie! I really - really love bandung. I hope this city will always fill with good things. (Your topic sentence is not clear.)

Model Paragraph

A paragraph is a group of related sentences that discuss one (and usually only one) main idea. A paragraph can be as short as one sentence or as long as ten sentences. The number of sentences is unimportant; however, the paragraph should be long enough to develop the main idea clearly.

A paragraph may stand by itself. In academic writing, you often write a paragraph to answer a test question such as the following: "Define management by objective, and give one example of it from the reading you have done for this class." A para­graph may also be one part of a longer piece of writing such as an essay or a book.

We mark a paragraph by indenting the first word about a half inch (five spaces on a typewriter or computer) from the left margin.

Gold

Gold, a precious metal, is prized for two important characteristics. First of all, gold has a lustrous beauty that is resistant to corrosion. Therefore, it is suitable for jewelry, coins, and ornamental purposes. Gold never needs to be polished and will remain beautiful forever. For example, a Macedonian coin remains as uptarnished today as the day it was made 25 centuries ago. Another important characteristic of gold is its usefulness to industry and science. For many years, it has been used in hundreds of industrial applications, such as photography and dentistry.The most recent use of gold is in astronauts' suits. Astronauts wear gold-plated heat shields for protection when they go outside spaceships in space.ln conclusion, gold is treasured not only for its beauty but also for its utility.
