Pempek Lenjer

Pempek Lenjer is a unique food from Palembang. This delicious food is made of fish paste, tapioca flour, water, a little salt and sugar. To make pempek, those ingredients are blended and then rolled to make it looks like a stick with 20-25 centimeters in length and 3-5 centimeters in diameters. After that, the stick batter is boiled to make it tender. Pempek Lenjer has two ways of serving. First, it is cut and served with cuka, which is a mixture of water, brown sugar, vinegar, and chilli. Second, after it is cut, we can fry it to make it more crunchy, then we serve it with cuka. The ways of serving pempek make pempek has special flavour in it that cannot be described if we are not eating it.
